Album Info:Hand cranked gates stated in the year 1874. They were made at Woonsocket, RI until the 1970's when this craft was dying out faster than the dinosaur. Concord Street in Framingham was the last set on a class 1 railroad. All mechanical with chains and cables underground. They were different styles of gates. 1- manual crank, 2 - air gates, and 3 - armstrong lever. The most popular was hand cranked. So again another craft goes into extinction.
